My final concept design 4 is a further development of design 3. In order to enhance the aesthetic quality of the house, I have introduced some new elements to the design and shown the materiality of it. The front of the concrete wall facade at lower level is added with fenestration which allow light to enter into the large -open living space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. A timber structure sits above the concrete not only help to break its monotony but also showing a sense of nature. The other side of the lower storey comprises the bedroom and restroom. Louvred windows are installed on the wall facade of the bedroom to provide privacy and protection for the client. At the upper floor, it comes in the studio. Big openings are placed at both the front and back of the studio in order to bring in natural light. There is a door provides access from the studio to the roof that allow the client to lay down on the roof deck and observe the sky.
